Job Overview
The Building Technician role focuses on maintaining and ensuring optimal functionality of various building systems and equipment. The position entails conducting preventive inspections, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other key building systems to sustain a safe and comfortable environment for occupants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carry out systematic inspections, maintenance, and repairs of building infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions swiftly to minimize operational interruptions.
- Comply rigorously with safety guidelines and ensure building systems adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies as they arise.
- Document all maintenance activities, repair tasks, and inspections with accurate records, and communicate significant issues appropriately.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Have at least two years of relevant experience in facility management or a comparable domain.
