Role Overview

The Building Management System (BMS) Engineer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Qatar. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining building automation and control systems, ensuring efficient operation of HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems via the BMS. The engineer is tasked with monitoring system alerts, performing inspections, optimizing energy use, and ensuring occupant comfort. Key duties involve troubleshooting technical faults, coordinating with maintenance teams and contractors, updating configurations and schedules, planning system upgrades, documenting performance, and adhering to safety and engineering standards. Collaborative interaction with property management and facility teams is essential to maintain reliable and high-quality building operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• In-depth understanding of Building Management Systems and Building Automation Systems, with skills to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot HVAC, lighting, and electrical controls.
• Practical experience with mechanical and electrical facilities systems, including air-conditioning and power distribution.
• Expertise in system diagnostics, fault detection, and preventive maintenance with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, safety protocols, and applicable engineering standards for building operations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with technicians, contractors, and management staff effectively.
• Educational background including a diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, or related fields.
• Previous exposure to building management, facilities engineering, or property maintenance within commercial or residential contexts is advantageous.
• Capability to work on-site independently, adapt to multicultural work environments, and handle operational demands within constraints.
