About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Billing Officer to join our Business Development team at a leading transportation and logistics organization. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that transportation and logistics services are correctly translated into revenue by issuing accurate and timely invoices, thereby supporting revenue assurance and enhancing cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and send customer invoices for transportation and logistics services based on contractually agreed rates and commercial terms.
Cross-check completed trips and services against operational documentation before invoicing.
Ensure availability and verification of supporting documents such as Proof of Delivery (POD), Delivery Notes, Trip Sheets, and approved rate confirmations.
Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Business Development teams to adhere to billing timelines.
Track and monitor unbilled shipments to mitigate revenue leakage risks.
Assist Finance in resolving billing queries and disputes with customers.
Maintain precise billing records within ERP or TMS platforms.
Produce regular reports detailing invoicing status, pending revenue, and billing performance metrics.
Ensure timely issuance of all invoices according to agreed schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in billing, invoicing, or revenue control within the transportation or logistics sectors.
Comprehensive knowledge of logistics operations and contract pricing structures.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalents.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills.
