Role Overview

We are searching for a seasoned Benchmarking Manager to spearhead enterprise-wide benchmarking projects, analyze performance, and lead continuous improvement programs. The selected individual will manage benchmarking studies both internal and external, develop KPIs, evaluate performance, analyze competitors, and work cross-functionally to ensure benchmarking insights result in tangible business enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute enterprise benchmarking methods, performance measurement systems, and strategic frameworks aligned with corporate goals and priorities.
• Lead benchmarking initiatives across internal functions, external partners, industries, and competition to assess performance and discover best practices.
• Collaborate with departments including Strategy, Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, HR, IT, Business Excellence, Risk Management, Data Analytics, and Executive Leadership to support improvement efforts.
• Create and maintain benchmarking frameworks, KPI repositories, scorecards, maturity models, performance criteria, and reporting processes.
• Perform comparative analyses using various metrics such as operational, financial, customer, workforce, sustainability, and quality data.
• Research emerging industry trends, best practices, market indicators, and competitor data to uncover growth areas.
• Coordinate comprehensive data gathering, validation, normalization, statistical evaluations, and benchmark reporting across business units and external collaborators.
• Facilitate workshops, performance review sessions, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Develop actionable recommendations, strategic roadmaps, and improvement plans grounded in benchmarking results and organizational objectives.
• Partner with business leaders to oversee implementation of improvements and measure outcomes.
• Track KPIs including efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, financial metrics, quality standards, process maturity, participation in benchmarking, success of implementations, and continuous improvement results.
• Conduct audits, maturity evaluations, gap analyses, root cause investigations, process reviews, and continuous improvement assessments.
• Ensure compliance with governance structures, ISO standards, business excellence frameworks, data privacy rules, and reporting guidelines.
• Manage budgets related to benchmarking, analytics platforms, consulting, benchmarking memberships, external research, and strategic initiatives.
• Advance digital transformation via AI-driven benchmarking analytics, predictive modeling, automated KPI tracking, intelligent reporting, workflow automation, and BI tools.
• Utilize Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Jira, ERP systems, business performance platforms, benchmarking databases, and analytics software to deliver insights.
• Prepare executive-level dashboards, benchmarking reports, performance scorecards, competitive analyses, maturity assessments, strategic advice, and board presentations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop benchmarking analysts, business excellence specialists, performance analysts, and cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation, accountability, and data-based decision-making.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Management, or related disciplines.
• Master's degree such as MBA or equivalent in Business Analytics, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Professional qualifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, PMP, Balanced Scorecard Professional, EFQM Assessor, or similar certifications are advantageous.
• A minimum of five years' experience in benchmarking, business excellence, performance management, strategic operations, analytics, or quality management positions.
• At least two years managing benchmarking programs, performance improvement projects, analytics teams, or enterprise strategy efforts is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of benchmarking techniques, KPI creation, performance oversight, process improvement, statistics, quality management systems, and strategic planning frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Jira, ERP platforms, benchmarking databases, and BI solutions.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced analytics, predictive analytics, machine learning, process mining, intelligent automation, digital dashboards, and advanced BI technologies is strongly desirable.
• Excellent leadership abilities, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, analytical mindset, facilitation expertise, project and budget management capabilities, organizational strength, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Capacity to handle multiple benchmarking projects concurrently, balancing business goals, stakeholder needs, compliance requirements, financial plans, schedules, and corporate objectives.
• Effective remote collaboration skills leveraging engagement with dispersed teams, leadership, external benchmarking service providers, consultants, technology suppliers, and global stakeholders, including occasional business travel for workshops, benchmarking visits, conferences, and strategic meetings.
