Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Specialist who will conduct functional assessments and design Multi-Element Behaviour Support Plans (MEBSP) to assist individuals in managing behaviors, acquiring new skills, and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves promoting Positive Behaviour Support throughout the organization by ensuring the quality and continual improvement of Personal Plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold Nua's Mission, Vision, and Values in all activities.
  • Manage a caseload of individuals requiring behaviour support.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary to provide services.
  • Perform thorough Functional Assessments as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor MEBSPs collaboratively with relevant stakeholders.
  • Integrate behavioural recommendations into individual Personal Plans and oversee their quality.
  • Deliver training sessions to frontline staff to enhance care practices.
  • Ensure all MEBSPs meet regulatory compliance and maintain high standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on Personal Plans and devise improvement strategies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including clinical supervision and accreditation activities.
  • Collaborate within a nationwide multidisciplinary team to advance service development under the Positive Behaviour Support framework.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Psychology or an equivalent qualification.
  • Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (MBA/MSC in ABA) is essential.
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar behavioural specialist role or in a health/social care setting.
