Position Overview

The Bartender role is pivotal in delivering outstanding beverage experiences aligned with the high standards of Raffles and Fairmont. This role requires passionate storytelling through expert mixology, crafting premium cocktails and beverages with creative finesse and precision. The successful candidate will foster warm guest connections and contribute significantly to memorable moments in a sophisticated, luxury setting.

Key Duties

• Provide courteous, personalized service consistent with luxury hospitality benchmarks of Raffles and Fairmont.
• Skillfully mix and serve a range of cocktails, mocktails, wines, and spirits with consistency and creativity.
• Maintain deep expertise in beverage menus, mixing techniques, ingredient pairings, and trends.
• Engage with guests proactively to anticipate their preferences and enhance their bar experience.
• Ensure bar and service areas are consistently clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Accurately process orders, payments, and handle cash flow responsibly.
• Manage stock levels, support inventory tracking, and oversee beverage storage procedures.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies, hygiene regulations, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with restaurant, culinary, and bar colleagues to guarantee smooth and elevated service.
• Respond professionally and discreetly to guest feedback or service recovery needs.

Candidate Profile

• Prior bartending experience in upscale hotels, lounges, or fine dining settings preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of classic and innovative cocktails, spirits, wines, and mixology methods.
• Enthusiastic about delivering excellent guest experiences with an approachable and warm demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills to build confident guest rapport.
• Professional appearance with diligent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory is desirable.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and responsible alcohol service policies.
• Fluent English speaker; additional languages are advantageous.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
