Job Overview

This on-site barista position is based at a coffee shop in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. Candidates should be prepared to work at the physical location with no remote work option.

• Work will be physically demanding, involving repetitive tasks and long periods of standing
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Set tables cleanly with dishes, flatware, and other necessary items
• Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs promptly
• Operate dishwashers for washing dishes, glassware, and flatware
• Hand-wash and sanitize any items as needed
• Store cleaned dishes properly
• Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations
• Manage order taking from customers accurately
• Package take-out food and prepare simple food items through heating and finishing touches
• Portion and wrap foods appropriately
• Stock refrigerated units and salad bars
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, washing floors, and polishing as necessary
• Keep detailed records of food quantities used

Equipment Experience

• Proficient with conventional ovens
• Familiar with electronic cash registers
