Job Overview
The Attractions Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily functioning of the Attractions department, ensuring smooth, efficient operations that meet high standards of guest service. This includes managing procurement, inventory, budgeting, scheduling, and strategic business planning. The role demands leadership in operational compliance, safety, financial management, and fostering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute operational strategies aligned with the Attractions department's overall goals.
- Collaborate with the Attractions General Manager (GM) to evaluate future attraction needs, including new services and improvements, translating these into actionable plans.
- Conduct market research to shape business plans, identify trends, and optimize revenue and guest engagement.
- Set long-term objectives aligned with company strategy and guest expectations, while exploring improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Manage the procurement cycle ensuring timely, cost-efficient sourcing and oversee inventory control to balance supply and demand effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure coordinated operations and resource availability.
- Direct budgeting processes, monitor expenditures against budgets, and provide financial reports with variance analyses and recommendations to the GM.
- Create and enforce operational policies, promote risk management and ensure health and safety compliance across all activities.
- Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development of staff, cultivating an inclusive, motivated workplace culture.
- Manage day-to-day operations, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to guarantee operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee financial performance, ensuring revenue targets are achieved and costs maintained within budgets.
- Drive operational optimization and innovation by implementing efficiency improvements and staying informed on industry best practices.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by promptly resolving complaints, monitoring feedback, and continuously enhancing service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- Certifications in Operations Management or Project Management are advantageous.
- At least 10 years of experience in operations management within entertainment or hospitality sectors, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions.
- Demonstrated expertise managing large teams and complex guest-focused operations.
- Proven ability to optimize operational efficiency and innovate for improved guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to work independently and perform manual handling tasks involving weights up to 5kg.
