About the Company and Role
Teamfit is a rapidly expanding fitness enterprise based in Bengaluru, operating several upscale fitness centers under prominent brands. The organization emphasizes a secure, hygienic, and superior workout environment, achieved through operational excellence and proactive facility management practices. The Associate MEP Manager role is designed to oversee smooth functioning and upkeep across multiple gym locations by handling MEP systems, vendor management, preventive maintenance, compliance, housekeeping standards, and ensuring overall facility readiness.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical, plumbing, civil, HVAC systems, interiors, and infrastructure at various gym venues.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules promptly and coordinate corrective repairs with vendors, ensuring completion and verifying quality.
- Oversee maintenance of gym equipment via preventive upkeep and managing breakdowns with OEMs or service providers, ensuring operational uptime and timely escalation of critical issues.
- Perform housekeeping and hygiene audits, monitor cleansing routines across workout, reception, washrooms, locker rooms, and communal spaces, and manage housekeeping supplies.
- Support operational functions by ensuring checklists for opening and closing are completed, verifying adherence to SOPs, and conducting surprise audits.
- Manage vendors across multiple services including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, DG sets, firefighting systems, CCTV, pest control, housekeeping, etc., monitoring performance, SLA compliance, quotations, and invoices.
- Carry out fire and safety inspections, maintain safety equipment and first aid supplies, monitor compliance records, and assist in audits.
- Maintain asset records, conduct asset verification, monitor asset conditions, and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive reports including daily inspections, weekly maintenance, preventive maintenance tracking, vendor performance, asset verification, utility consumption, incidents, CAPA, and audit outcomes.
- Collaborate extensively with center managers, housekeeping, security, procurement, finance, corporate operations, and vendors to ensure seamless facility operations.
Experience & Skills Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities management or operations, preferably managing multiple locations.
- Background in gyms, retail, hospitality, healthcare, commercial buildings, malls, or coworking spaces is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills complemented by excellent vendor management abilities.
- Skilled in stakeholder coordination, problem-solving, detail orientation, time management, and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficient in documentation and operational reporting, with a positive, hands-on working style.
Additional Details
- Languages: English mandatory; Hindi and Kannada preferred.
- Travel: Frequent daily travel to multiple gym locations within Bengaluru; a valid two-wheeler license preferred; personal vehicle advantageous.
- Key Performance Indicators include completion rates for inspections and maintenance, SLA adherence, housekeeping audit standards, regulatory compliance, report submissions, and reducing maintenance recurrences.
