Job Purpose

The Area Incharge will manage and oversee all shop floor activities involved in the manufacturing of wind turbine blades. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality benchmarks, managing materials, equipment operation, and maintaining safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all shop floor tasks such as mold preparation, composite material layup, and curing operations ensuring timely completion and quality compliance.
  • Coordinate production team activities to maintain smooth workflows and swiftly resolve operational challenges.
  • Manage raw material handling and inventory including composite fibers and resins, ensuring proper procedures and optimal stock levels in coordination with supply chain teams.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures including visual inspections, mechanical testing, and dimensional checks with precision instruments like CMM, collaborating with the Quality Assurance department to resolve defects.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery such as molds, resin mixers and dispensing equipment, and curing ovens with routine checks and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Drive process enhancements focused on mold prep, resin application, and curing methods to increase productivity and minimize wastage, continuously exploring cutting-edge technologies.
  • Ensure strict safety protocols especially regarding handling high-temperature curing and hazardous substances like epoxy resins; conduct audits and trainings to maintain compliance.
  • Monitor production metrics (output, defects, cycle times) through software and analytical tools; compile and present detailed reports to the Head of Production highlighting improvement areas.
  • Provide technical and safety training to production staff while mentoring junior members to develop their skills and uplift team capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience
