Role Responsibilities

This role is involved in data-related tasks including analysis, mining, pattern recognition, visualization, reporting, and data management. Work is performed under the supervision of senior analysts or data scientists and encompasses activities like descriptive analytics, data querying, engineering tasks, visual representation of data, and predictive forecasting.

• Deliver data-driven insights to solve business challenges using analytics techniques applied to both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Maintain foundational expertise in data science methodologies, understand data categories, themes, and related scientific challenges.
• Perform analytic procedures aligned with specific project requirements.
• Adapt and modify scripts or software tools to improve data extraction, management, and analysis capabilities.
• Contribute to the interpretation of results and the preparation of clear analytical reports.
• Assist stakeholders with understanding data sets, providing training and recommendations for data requests enhancements.
• Utilize effective communication and collaborative skills, consulting with subject matter experts.
• Present findings in a clear, non-technical manner suitable for business or clinical audiences.

Qualifications

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant analytical or scientific field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics, physics, data science, or health sciences. Preferred qualifications include the capacity to create predictive models leveraging advanced statistical, machine learning, or data mining techniques. Proven experience applying problem-solving frameworks, continuous improvement methods, and analytical tools (including machine learning and statistical software) is necessary. Staying current with healthcare industry trends and organizational changes is expected. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and time management abilities are essential, along with a dedication to exceptional customer service.

Additional Information

• Exempt employment status.
• Competitive compensation between $78,270 and $117,312 annually, based on education, experience, and internal pay equity.
• Full-time schedule totaling 80 hours biweekly, commonly 8 am to 5 pm with flexibility aligned to workload demands.
• Weekend work may be required occasionally.
• Location: Eau Claire, WI, with multiple Mayo Clinic campuses across the US and international locations.
