Role Overview

The Associate Corporate Development role presents a significant opportunity to join a top-tier team responsible for driving growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, and corporate strategy globally. This position provides high-impact exposure, working closely with Super Group’s senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and execute strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead end-to-end M&A transactions including sourcing opportunities, conducting due diligence, deal structuring, and closing phases.
• Manage strategic and venture investments from initial origination to execution and ongoing portfolio oversight.
• Drive diverse corporate strategic projects such as market entry strategies and internal business reviews.
• Perform comprehensive market, sector, and competitor analyses to spot strategic growth possibilities.
• Develop and analyze detailed financial models, including operating models, discounted cash flow valuations, returns, as well as unit economics and customer cohort assessments.
• Coordinate due diligence activities across financial, legal, commercial, technological, and regulatory domains.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for Executive, Investment Committees, and the Board of Directors.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with banks, advisors, prospective targets, and industry participants, also representing the company at industry events.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting.
• Proven expertise in executing M&A transactions and managing investment processes.
• Strong skills in financial modeling and business valuation techniques.
• Capability to lead complex due diligence workstreams independently.
• Strategic thinker with excellent commercial insight and a propensity to challenge assumptions constructively.
• Excellent communication, networking acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree from a prestigious university; master's degree preferred.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of sports betting markets including odds, betting formats, and trends.
• Experience in online gaming or casino industry, including player behavior insights and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with gambling laws across different jurisdictions and compliance enforcement.
• Background in designing and implementing customer retention initiatives.
• Fluent in English with additional European or African languages as a plus.
• Relevant experience within technology, sports betting, gaming, or entertainment sectors is advantageous.
