Role Overview
As an Associate in BD & Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for originating and managing partnerships that fuel growth and profitability. This entails overseeing the entire partner development journey from identifying promising opportunities to deal closure across key sectors including Transport, GrabFood, Omnicommerce, GrabExpress, GrabMart, and GrabFinancial. You will maintain regular communication with external corporate partners and collaborate with internal teams to ensure objectives align with Grab’s strategic ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, assess, and secure new partner relationships that enhance funding and validate innovative partnership models.
- Manage commercial partnerships comprehensively from initial qualification, contract negotiations, activation, to execution and performance measurement.
- Develop compelling business cases and partnership proposals, defining commercial terms, activation strategies, and forecasting impact.
- Work closely with business units, marketing, product, legal, and operations teams to coordinate commercial and operational activities ensuring agreed outcomes are met.
- Lead end-to-end event sponsorship management, including negotiation, stakeholder engagement, project oversight, execution, and ROI analysis.
- Establish clear performance indicators, track partner campaigns, collaborate on iterative improvements, present findings to stakeholders, and document scalable processes.
Qualifications
- University degree coupled with three to five years of experience in business development, sponsorship sales, partnerships, or client-facing commercial roles.
- Demonstrated success in closing partnership or sponsorship agreements.
- Proficient in prospecting, negotiation, and contract management.
- Capable of independently managing projects from inception to completion and collaborating across multiple teams.
- Skilled at interpreting data to extract actionable insights, utilizing basic analytics and BI tools.
