Job Responsibilities

• Possess expertise in press shop operations and processes.
• Manage resources efficiently including manpower planning and allocation.
• Lead tool trials, including new die trials and robot programming, to maximize machine strokes per minute (SPM).
• Minimize rework and scrap through improved processes.
• Oversee shopfloor manpower management and hourly production monitoring.
• Analyze production losses and monitor breakdowns using SAP tools.
• Implement daily work management (DWM) sessions with assistant engineers and operators.
• Track key performance metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity, and costs related to consumables and major resources.
• Provide technical support to ensure seamless component production.
• Conduct brief daily training sessions emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Promote 5S and Kaizen continuous improvement practices on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical bottlenecks in production.
• Ensure zero accidents by enforcing proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate hourly production records in SAP.
• Plan and schedule die changeovers adhering to SMED principles and ensure die maintenance.
• Maintain thorough documentation such as SOPs, production sheets, process check sheets, and Kaizen records.
• Identify training needs and facilitate on-the-job skill enhancement for operators.
• Develop team members including new recruits, reinforcing safety and quality culture across the department.
• Participate actively in change management to guarantee defect-free production first time.
• Formulate production plans factoring inventory criticality, raw material availability, tool status, and finished goods trolley readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (B.E. / B.Tech) in any specialization with approximately 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.
