About the Role
Panda Express is seeking experienced managers to join its store leadership team. The company is dedicated to supporting its associates through paid leadership training, mentorship, and ongoing developmental opportunities. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single restaurant, playing a key role in hiring, managing, and directing staff to reach financial objectives and deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will receive a minimum of three weeks of leadership training to prepare you for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall operation of the store, ensuring financial and service goals are met.
- Recruit, lead, and manage associates to achieve performance targets.
- Maintain high standards of guest experience and team engagement.
- Participate in scheduling and operational planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Candidate must be willing to relocate within 50 miles of their home location if necessary.
- Ability to work varied schedules including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.
- Must have Serve Safe certification or Food Safety knowledge.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment includes hot, steamy kitchen areas with high noise levels and limited storage. Employees are expected to stand for extended periods (up to four hours), lift up to 50 pounds, and use kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives efficiently and safely. Effective verbal communication and adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic settings are essential, as is conflict management capability.
