Role Overview
The Assistant IT Manager will manage daily IT operations supporting the company’s infrastructure, systems, and networks for its development, hospitality, and investment functions at the Riyadh office in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the IT Manager, this position ensures uptime, security compliance, performance monitoring, vendor management, and coordination of IT projects to maintain a robust technology environment aligned with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily IT service availability and operational continuity.
- Oversee management and support of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
- Coordinate technology implementations and IT project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to security policies and industry standards.
- Monitor system metrics and apply ongoing improvements.
- Manage vendor, service provider, and technology partner relationships.
- Produce reports, documentation, and presentations related to IT operations and projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent field.
- At least five years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, and network administration, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Strong command over Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Experience with virtualization environments like VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Expertise in backup, disaster recovery planning, firewall management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Competency in server, storage, and overall infrastructure management.
Preferred Skills and Additional Information
- Saudi nationals are highly preferred to support Saudization (Nitaqat) initiatives.
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, ITIL, or cybersecurity credentials are advantageous.
- Background in IT support within real estate, construction, or hospitality industries is a plus.
