Role Overview
Become part of a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, dedicated to delivering health, beauty, and convenience services with the customer as the central focus.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in overseeing human, physical, and financial resources to meet store goals, with an emphasis on enhancing product movement from storage to sales floor.
- Maintain high Store Standards to enhance customer satisfaction, boost foot traffic, and increase store profitability.
- Collaborate with management to ensure consistent compliance with Store Standards throughout the store, including backroom areas.
- Participate in labor planning alongside the FSM, utilizing Workforce Management tools to optimize staff productivity.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to support store operations effectively.
- Adhere to Human Resources policies and assist with hiring efforts across all departments except Pharmacy.
- Manage wage administration adhering to SLPH guidelines.
- Promote a positive work culture based on company Core Values, motivating and leading staff to engagement and development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong planning, decision-making, and judgment capabilities, especially related to inventory management and controlling expenses.
- Leadership experience with mentoring skills to develop staff effectively.
- Efficient in time management and prioritizing tasks amidst shifting priorities.
- Excellent organizational and planning proficiency.
- Prior experience in retail management with proven ability to drive business and support corporate initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the management team and build key relationships internally and externally.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities.
- Demonstrates business and financial understanding relevant to operations.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is between 1955 and 2275 cents depending on candidate experience, knowledge, and location within British Columbia.
