Role Overview
As an Asset Management Analyst at Atlantic Pacific Companies, you will be an integral part of the Asset Management team, directly reporting to the Asset Manager. You will provide comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and operational assistance for a portfolio of multifamily properties in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This position represents a valuable opportunity for an analytically minded and detail-focused professional to gain a strong foothold in commercial real estate asset management while driving portfolio success and strategic efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, sustain, and refine detailed financial models at both property and portfolio levels, including cash flow forecasts, return evaluations, and operational scenario planning.
- Evaluate financial statements, rent rolls, operating reports, and other performance metrics of properties.
- Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance report preparations.
- Perform market research and competitive landscape analyses, monitoring rents, occupancy rates, concessions, and leasing activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, presentation materials, and reporting packages tailored for senior management, capital partners, and lenders.
- Oversee capital improvement initiatives, tracking their progress against budgetary and timeline targets.
- Support acquisition and disposition due diligence by gathering relevant data and performing financial analysis.
- Collaborate closely with property management teams to align operational and financial goals across the portfolio.
- Conduct special projects and provide ad hoc analytical support as required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience ranging from none up to three years in commercial real estate, multifamily housing, asset management, financial analysis, or a related field; relevant internship experience is considered.
- Strong skills in analytics and financial modeling.
- Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with property management and reporting software such as Yardi, RealPage, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational aptitude with an ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- A self-starter who can work independently yet collaborates effectively within team settings.
