About the Role

This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position within the Creative department, reporting to the VP of Creative & Design and working closely with the Creative Director. The role oversees four direct reports and serves as the quality guardian for all visual output across campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines a strong eye for beauty and branding with sound creative judgment, a collaborative leadership style, and a genuine interest in coaching and developing designers. You’ll turn strategic direction into polished, production-ready work, keep projects moving in a fast-changing environment, and make sure every asset feels relevant, consistent, and designed for a social-first, Gen Z audience.
Creative Leadership & Brand Stewardship
- Partner closely with the Creative Director to own the quality and consistency of everyday design work.
- Convert high-level creative direction into briefs, moodboards, and final deliverables for campaigns, launches, and brand programs.
- Guide, support, and mentor a team of designers so work stays on-brand, accurate, and on time.
- Offer clear, actionable feedback that strengthens output and helps the team grow.
- Work in sync with the Director of Creative Operations to keep timelines and deliverables on track.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead omnichannel campaign development with a social-first approach, shaping ideas for TikTok, Instagram, and newer platforms where Gen Z discovers beauty brands.
- Build creative that is designed to be shared, trend-aware, and attention-grabbing on social channels.
- Art direct photo and video shoots that support product storytelling and brand expression.
- Own the visual direction for new product launches, including packaging oversight and go-to-market assets.
- Create and improve design systems, templates, and brand tools that can scale across projects.
Production & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and external partners to create cohesive creative solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of print-ready and digital-ready files, checking that specifications are accurate and error-free.
- Work with the Creative Director to evolve the brand look and feel in response to trends and consumer insight.
- Support sales materials, retailer assets, and internal brand communications when needed.
Additional Strengths That Stand Out
- Experience helping build or scale a brand from startup stage to national reach.
- Interest in packaging design, material innovation, and sensory storytelling.
- Ability to use 2D and 3D rendering to visualize packaging, merchandising, and creative concepts.
- Attention to print finishes, color accuracy, and production specifications.
Other Notes
The listed duties are intended to reflect the nature of the role, but they are not exhaustive. Responsibilities may be updated, expanded, or reassigned as business needs change, with or without prior notice.
