Overview
This is a two-year contractual position based within the Digital Services & Technology Office at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The appointed AI Product Manager will be instrumental in propelling the institution's AI transformation agenda. This role centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance operational efficiency, drive automation, and facilitate intelligent, data-based decision-making across administrative and support sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a prioritized roadmap of AI products and initiatives that align with the institution's strategic goals and digital transformation vision.
- Identify opportunities to implement AI solutions in administrative and operational areas such as process automation, IT service management, intelligent systems, and analytics for decision support.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams throughout product lifecycle phases including problem identification, user research, solution design, agile development, testing, deployment, and continuous refinement.
- Define detailed product requirements including minimum viable products, success metrics, feature rollouts, and launch criteria working closely with architects, engineers, and UX designers.
- Manage both in-house and external vendor AI solutions, including procurement assistance, performance evaluation, and relationship management.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, data privacy, and ethical AI standards by addressing data security, bias mitigation, user training, and change management.
- Drive user adoption by coordinating change management efforts aimed at integrating AI tools across NP's administrative functions.
- Facilitate collaboration with various departments (HR, Finance, Student Services, Academic Schools) to comprehend their challenges, translate requirements into AI solutions, and communicate product benefits effectively.
- Work in concert with IT infrastructure, data, security, and enterprise systems teams to guarantee robust integration and support for AI implementations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a degree or postgraduate qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
- A minimum of five years experience in product or digital project management with at least two years focusing on AI, data, or analytics-enabled products or initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven success in delivering digital or AI products from concept through deployment and adoption.
- Sound conceptual knowledge of AI/ML technologies including large language models, robotic process automation, and intelligent workflow solutions, enabling effective evaluation and communication with technical teams.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, design thinking, and lean product management.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or cloud AI services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
