Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Gurugram. This role demands comprehensive expertise in the Procure to Pay process, strong vendor management skills, and proficiency in ERP systems including Ariba. The ideal candidate will oversee daily procurement functions, manage a professional team, and ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls while maintaining excellent stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess an in-depth understanding of procurement operations, purchasing principles, vendor relations, month-end activities, and account reconciliation.
• Lead and supervise a team of professionals either directly or by overseeing lower-level supervisors.
• Operate autonomously within general policy frameworks to manage daily workflows effectively.
• Offer technical guidance and advice, actively engaging as necessary to support the team.
• Provide timely, detailed, and courteous support and communication to all stakeholders.
• Achieve all process-related key result areas (KRAs) and ensure timely task completion.
• Manage vendor relationships and maintain consistent communication with key suppliers.
• Ensure all procedural activities align with company policies and internal control standards to minimize errors.
• Facilitate internal, transactional, and statutory audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a liaison among the team, requestors, leadership, and support groups.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend relevant training.
• Contribute to goal setting and provide performance feedback to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Procure to Pay cycle, including 3 to 5 years in managerial or leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with Ariba, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to create and implement comprehensive operational and strategic plans.
• Advanced communication and influencing skills.
