About the internship

This internship is focused on procurement support for One Root’s upcoming Agri Input Mall in Chamarajanagar. The role involves helping source a wide range of agricultural inputs and commodities while working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep purchasing operations efficient and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with procurement operations for the upcoming Agri Input Mall in Chamarajanagar.
• Source and purchase agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, farm machinery, irrigation products, and related supplies.
• Identify, review, and shortlist suitable vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain productive relationships with vendors, farmers, suppliers, traders, aggregators, and procurement partners.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment when stock runs low.
• Review quotations, negotiate pricing, and help secure cost-effective deals.
• Support sourcing of spices and agricultural commodities, including turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, star anise, and similar products.
• Monitor product availability, market prices, and supply trends to inform procurement decisions.
• Ensure goods are procured and delivered on time as per business needs.
• Keep procurement files updated, including purchase orders, supplier records, and related documentation.
• Support quality checks, supplier assessment, inventory planning, and stock management tasks.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to candidates who can work full time from the office, can begin between 3 July 2026 and 7 August 2026, and are available for a 6-month duration. Applicants should have relevant skills and interest in procurement or agriculture. Women looking to begin or restart their careers are also encouraged to apply.

Other requirements

• Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a degree in BBA, B.Com, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking, negotiation ability, and communication skills are expected.
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Candidates should be able to manage supplier relationships and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills are important.
• A basic understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes is needed.
• Interest in agriculture, agricultural inputs, spices, and agricultural commodities is preferred.

Compensation and perks

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 10,000 to 15,000. Additional benefits include a certificate, a letter of recommendation, and an informal dress code.
