About the Role
Royal Roads University’s Ras Al Khaimah campus is looking for an Executive or Senior Executive specialized in Visa and Administration to oversee the entire visa lifecycle concerning students and staff, while also assisting with vital administrative and operational campus functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end processes of student and employee visas including applications, renewals, amendments, cancellations, status changes, medical exams, biometrics, and documentation.
- Ensure student visa applications align with admissions schedules and submit them promptly through the RAKEZ portal.
- Handle issuance and renewal of employee work permits, employment visas, entry permits, Emirates ID applications, and residence visas.
- Monitor visa expiration dates proactively to avoid delays or penalties.
- Keep detailed and accurate visa records and compliance tracking documents.
- Serve as primary liaison with RAKEZ, immigration authorities, and related governmental agencies.
- Respond promptly to authority inquiries and address compliance observations.
- Stay informed about changes in UAE immigration and free zone regulations to maintain institutional compliance.
- Collaborate closely across departments including Admissions, Student Affairs, HR, and Finance to ensure smooth visa processing and related functions.
- Support day-to-day administrative and operational campus activities as necessary.
- Assist with compliance audits and maintain filing and documentation systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years’ experience in UAE visa and immigration processing, ideally within a Free Zone setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office suite.
- Good logical reasoning and organized thought process.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE immigration, work permit and visa regulations.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication.
- Ability to coordinate effectively between various departments and external government bodies.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license, beneficial for travel to RAKEZ and other government offices.
- Experience with RAKEZ portal utilization and exposure to higher education or student visa administration.
- Background in campus administration, facility coordination, or general operations is advantageous.
