Video Editor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Video Editor to join our team on a full-time remote basis, supporting various client projects. This position involves hands-on editing, transforming raw video material into engaging short-form content optimized for platforms like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce 1-2 short-form videos daily for designated client accounts.
• Manage the complete editing workflow, including timing, sound design, captions, motion graphics, and color correction.
• Follow creative briefs and internal style guidelines, adjusting for each brand’s unique voice.
• Promptly incorporate feedback from the Head of Editors and client reviews.
• Ensure consistent quality and style throughout each client's content portfolio over time.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Suite with strong editing and design skills; experience with After Effects is highly advantageous.
• Excellent sense of rhythm and audience retention strategies specific to short-form videos.
• Well-versed in social media language, trends, formats, and pacing.
• Dependable and efficient under deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Portfolio or reel showcasing short-form video editing work, ideally branded content.

Additional Advantages

• Experience with 3D software such as Cinema 4D or Blender.
• Skills in motion design and kinetic typography.

Compensation & Work Details

• Monthly payment between $1700 and $2000 USD as an independent contractor.
• Fully remote position with flexibility to work from any location.

Additional Requirements

• Full-time availability.
• Personal computer capable of 4K video editing and reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Professional-level English communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
• Consistent daily productivity and active responsiveness via Slack during work hours.
• Shortlisted applicants will complete a paid editing test using actual client footage as a final screening step.

Priority Location

Though the role is globally accessible, candidates located in Latin America and Spain will be given priority for consideration.
