We accomplish over 84 million locates annually for various utilities including telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer, across the United States. Job Responsibilities

• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities such as telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems with safety and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough searches in assigned areas to identify utilities, mark their positions, complete required documentation, and capture photographs of each locate.
• Manage fieldwork independently and utilize company vehicles and state-of-the-art ticket and claims management systems.

Work Schedule and Requirements

This full-time position generally involves daytime hours with a 48-hour turnaround on many locates. Candidates must be flexible to work overtime, weekend shifts, and be available for on-call duty including nights and weekends as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Capability and willingness to perform work outdoors in diverse weather conditions; prior outdoor experience is advantageous.
• Competency in using technology for job functions.
• Ability to pass a drug screening as this is a safety-sensitive role.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Color vision sufficient to distinguish color codes used in utility markings.
• Skill in comprehending and referencing locate tickets, maps, and prints accurately.
• Effective communication skills with coworkers, clients, contractors, and property owners.
