Job Overview
The Transport Executive will oversee the transportation network, ensuring vehicle availability, manpower allocation, and the integrity of the cold chain, all while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and carry out deliveries strictly according to schedules.
- Monitor shipments continuously to guarantee timely arrival to customers.
- Serve as the primary contact for drivers, sales, and customer service teams about delivery updates.
- Keep precise records of proof of delivery documentation.
- Manage all reverse logistics operations effectively.
- Compile and prepare necessary reports regularly.
- Enforce compliance with traffic laws, safety standards, and ensure routine vehicle upkeep.
- Use route optimization systems to minimize transportation expenses and fuel consumption.
- Plan employee shifts, monitor attendance, and assign daily delivery routes efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet management, ideally in the FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with local and regional transport rules and route knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
