Position Overview
Are you enthusiastic about the building industry and ready to oversee a key territory for Laminex New Zealand? We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Territory Manager to handle the Hawke's Bay, Taupō, and Gisborne areas. This role involves representing leading brands, nurturing critical client relationships, and driving success across sales channels.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and expand customer relationships throughout the Hawke's Bay, Taupō, and Gisborne region.
- Collaborate closely with merchant partners, joinery clients, and kitchen manufacturers, offering product and technical guidance.
- Boost sales growth for established product lines as well as newly launched items.
- Develop connections with architects, designers, and key decision-makers.
- Identify emerging business prospects and keep abreast of market developments.
- Provide product training and on-site support to customers.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of the building products sector and enjoys engaging directly with customers. Essential qualities and experience include:
- 3 to 5+ years of sales experience in construction, building, hardware, or merchant industries.
- Existing network contacts within Hawke's Bay, Taupō, Gisborne, or the broader North Island region.
- Experience dealing with trade customers, merchants, or building supplies.
- Excellent skills in building relationships and communicating effectively.
- A self-driven mindset capable of working independently in a remote setup.
- Quick learner of products, processes, and market opportunities.
- A reputation for transparency, integrity, and professionalism.
