Role overview

Perfetti Van Melle is looking for a Technical Operator to support production operations in Nigeria. The role focuses on keeping machinery running efficiently, maintaining product quality, and following safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Key duties

• Run, observe, and diagnose issues on production equipment while working to standard operating procedures and production speed goals.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance activities on machines at the required intervals.
• Keep clear and accurate records of all operational and maintenance work completed.
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians to fix machine-related problems.
• Use all supplied personal protective equipment and comply with health and safety rules.
• Help avoid cross-contamination by maintaining proper cleanliness and hygiene of equipment.

Candidate profile

• OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and longer working hours when needed.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of initiative.
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
