Overview
Join Blacktown City Council as a Team Member Rapid Response, where your work maintains and enhances community parks, sports fields, reserves, and open spaces. You'll respond to unplanned maintenance tasks that help ensure the safety, accessibility, and upkeep of public facilities across the city.
Key Duties
- Manage reactive maintenance duties such as mowing lawns, garden upkeep in car parks and median strips.
- Assist in setting up community events and prepare sports fields for seasonal play, including line marking, installing/removing goal posts, and managing cricket wicket covers.
- Repair damaged infrastructure and install temporary barricades as needed.
- Operate equipment including mowers, tractors, tip trucks, loaders, and water trucks.
- Work collaboratively in a team to respond to urgent requests, support during staff absences, and manage issues from unforeseen events.
