Tally Clerk

Position Overview

The Tally Clerk plays a vital role supporting the storekeeper and warehouse team by ensuring safe storage and accurate handling of goods during receipt and dispatch at the Grand Mills in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive products from production, verifying quality and quantity.
• Label all items correctly with expiry dates to maintain stock integrity.
• Manage warehouse inventory precisely, dispatching products based on sales orders or transfers using FEFO principles.
• Prepare reports on expiring and slow-moving stock, while overseeing recycling stock control.
• Provide daily physical stock reports to the Storekeeper and ensure correct order fulfillment during dispatch.
• Support packing, forklift loading, and housekeeping teams to maintain productivity.
• Assist the Storekeeper with various operational tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the warehouse environment and report any hazards or pest issues promptly.
• Ensure trucks are clean prior to loading and that all staff involved in handling stock adhere to PPE and HSE protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum high school certificate; warehouse-related certification preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant FMCG warehouse experience; 2 to 3 years overall warehouse experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience in the Middle East market is preferred.
• Basic understanding of trade finance and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Excel and basic computer skills.

• Good knowledge of GWP (Good Warehousing Practices) and health, safety, and environment regulations.
• Capability to support multiple teams effectively.
