About the Company
Our client is a prominent FMCG enterprise with a significant global footprint in the industry. They are currently looking to appoint a Supply & Demand Planning Manager who has experience in the Retail sector to lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) locally.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, this position will own the S&OP process, demand forecasting, inventory control, supplier coordination, and other planning functions. Collaboration with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Customer Service departments is essential.
- Take full accountability for managing the supply and demand planning process, including running monthly S&OP meetings.
- Lead and mentor a local team of supply and demand planners to foster a culture of high performance.
- Partner with commercial teams to enhance promotional planning and improve demand forecasts.
- Manage product launches and promotional activities, utilizing historical data and market insights in collaboration with retailers to forecast launch trends accurately.
- Coordinate forecast reviews alongside the broader commercial team to boost alignment with retailers and increase forecast precision.
- Oversee finished goods inventory to meet stock level targets, including managing replenishment and liaising with the global business.
- Drive distribution and replenishment planning ensuring product availability at warehouses and distribution points locally.
- Monitor inventory and supply trends to identify risk of shortages or surplus and implement corrective measures.
- Incorporate local market data, promotional activities, retailer strategies, and financial objectives into effective planning decisions.
- Build and sustain vital relationships with retail supply chain partners to facilitate joint planning and transparency.
- Utilize SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Power BI, and AI tools to analyze data and convert insights into actionable business strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in FMCG, Retail, or related sectors, specifically in supply planning, demand planning, or S&OP roles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with autonomy and strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- A hands-on leader, eager to engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the aptitude to form strategic recommendations from data analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP IBP and Power BI is required.

The remuneration package ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 annually plus superannuation and bonus opportunities.
