A global industrial manufacturing company that serves steel, refractory, foundry, glass, cement, lime, mining, aluminum, copper, and other high-temperature processing sectors is hiring a seasoned Supply Chain Strategy Manager. The position focuses on network design, distribution planning, warehouse analysis, and long-range supply chain planning.
This role is well suited to someone with experience in supply chain strategy, network design, supply chain excellence, network optimization, or industrial engineering who wants to lead strategic initiatives across North America.

Key responsibilities
- Drive initiatives that improve safety, customer service, OTIF performance, inventory health, cost efficiency, and overall operations.
- Work with manufacturing, production, procurement, logistics, customer service, and commercial teams to align supply chain decisions.
- Use SAP/ERP systems, MRP, Power BI, Excel, and planning tools to support analysis and decision-making.
- Improve performance through KPI tracking, including OTIF, working capital, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, freight cost, and service levels.
- Build network models, evaluate warehouse footprints, assess sourcing options, and support executive S&OP/IBP decisions with analytics.
Preferred experience
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain strategy, network design, supply chain excellence, logistics optimization, industrial engineering, distribution strategy, or supply chain analytics.
- Hands-on background in network optimization, warehouse footprint analysis, sourcing strategy, transportation optimization, or end-to-end supply chain improvement.
- Strong analytical capability with Power BI, SAP, Excel, ERP platforms, modeling tools, and business intelligence systems.
- Experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership and influencing cross-functional decisions.
- Exposure to S&OP, IBP, long-range planning, or supply chain transformation programs.
- Industry background in refractory, steel, metals, foundry, mining, glass, cement, lime, industrial minerals, or other heavy manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with products such as refractory brick, monolithic refractories, castables, gunning mixes, ramming mixes, mortars, alumina, tabular alumina, calcined alumina, magnesia, dolomite, zircon, silicon carbide, graphite, and ceramic materials.
- Knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, specialty metals, aluminum, copper, nickel, titanium, cast iron, or ductile iron production.
- Understanding of blast furnaces, basic oxygen furnaces, electric arc furnaces, continuous casting, rolling mills, heat treating, forging, kilns, calcining, sintering, and mineral processing.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
