These vessels utilize renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and wave power to autonomously gather essential data for Defence and Civilian purposes. The company works closely under contracts with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN), and the United States Navy (USA), aiming to build and deploy multiple USVs for operations in Australia and internationally.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager position is pivotal in supporting Ocius Technology's shift from research and development towards large-scale manufacturing and sustained operations. The role is centered on establishing, diversifying, and overseeing a robust supply chain that ensures efficient production, maintenance, and delivery of autonomous USVs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture focused on continuous improvement throughout procurement, inventory management, and the entire supply chain process.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure the supply chain meets business objectives and is appropriately structured.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing supply chain team.

Selection Criteria

  • At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience managing comprehensive procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Proven expertise managing supplier relationships, including contracting to optimize cost and supply reliability.
  • Strong skills in supply chain risk management, encompassing vulnerability assessments and implementation of contingency plans like alternative sourcing.
  • Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to support procurement, inventory management, and broader supply chain activities, including participation in system implementation or upgrades.
  • Ability to effectively work across engineering, production, and operational divisions to aid in demand planning, inventory optimization, and sourcing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products.
