About the Program
Casual Fridays invites current college students passionate about content creation, social media, and hospitality to apply for the Fall 2026 Student Creator Program. This unique opportunity offers flexible, project-based work as an independent 1099 contractor, allowing participants to gain practical experience producing media content for hospitality clients like hotels, resorts, and travel destinations.
Available markets include Boston, MA; Key West, Florida; Sarasota/West Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; New York, NY; and Washington D.C./Maryland/Northern Virginia (DMV Area). Applicants are asked not to contact the office directly; suitable candidates will be contacted by the team.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photos and videos using personal equipment, primarily with iPhones, following creative briefs and brand guidelines.
- Create engaging short-form videos tailored to platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and more.
- Conduct on-site visits to assigned hotels, restaurants, attractions, and events, coordinating with property staff and client contacts.
- Represent Casual Fridays professionally on-site, identifying moments that showcase authentic guest experiences and storytelling opportunities.
- Edit and organize content, upload finalized assets timely, and deliver them according to project requirements.
- Collaborate remotely with the Casual Fridays team through occasional virtual meetings and maintain proactive communication regarding project statuses.
Qualifications
- A strong interest and skill in photography, videography, and social media content creation.
- Proven experience producing content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Reliable local transportation and availability for occasional shoots on weekdays, evenings, or weekends.
- Preferred: Background or experience in hospitality, tourism, or related fields and familiarity with current social media trends and content.
Compensation and Terms
- Engagement as an independent 1099 contractor, paid per completed project or shoot.
- Flexible, part-time scheduling accommodating academic commitments.
- Potential reimbursement of pre-approved project expenses when applicable.
- Opportunity for recurring assignments throughout the academic year to build a professional portfolio and industry connections.
Additional Information
This is not an internship or an employee role but a contracted position allowing creative autonomy and schedule control. Participants will work closely but remotely with internal Account and Creative teams to align content with client marketing objectives.
