About the Role
Join a dynamic design team as a Structural Engineer based in Dunshaughlin, County Meath, Ireland. This senior-level position involves leading structural design and managing engineering deliverables in a progressive construction environment. The role requires collaboration with architects, BIM coordinators, technicians, commercial teams, and construction experts to provide exceptional engineering solutions for contemporary construction projects. You'll engage with advanced construction techniques such as modular construction and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA).
Key Duties
- Take ownership of structural design and authorize engineering outputs across multiple projects.
- Develop structural designs, perform detailed calculations, draft reports, sketches, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate design efforts jointly with BIM teams, technical staff, and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings, calculations, and project deliverables to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all designs adhere to building codes, industry benchmarks, and client specifications.
- Offer technical advice and assistance to the design and engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout project phases.
- Contribute to tender preparations, bids, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Identify and promote innovations to enhance design procedures.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Must hold Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland.
- Possess a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Have at least 10 years of post-graduate experience in structural or civil engineering.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in structural engineering across construction and manufacturing sectors.
- Modular construction experience is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
