Role Overview

This full-time position is on-site based in Geelong or Melbourne, Victoria, requiring the candidate to produce precise and detailed structural drawings and models primarily using Revit and other design software in accordance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and prepare shop and construction drawings aligned with project requirements.
• Coordinate drawings and models with engineers, architects, and project teams.
• Maintain and update BIM models, performing clash detection and resolving drawing issues.
• Ensure documentation supports buildability, safety standards, and compliance.
• Keep organized records of drawings and their revisions.
• Participate in enhancing drafting methods and processes.
• Assist and support junior team members where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in preparing technical and shop drawings, translating engineering and architectural concepts into coherent construction documents.
• Experienced in interpreting architectural and structural engineering drawings for building and infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, specifically Revit, including 3D modeling and coordination tasks.
• Possess relevant qualifications such as a certificate, diploma, or degree in Drafting, Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledgeable in Australian building codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong spatial and visual comprehension and ability to handle multiple drawing packages and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary office environments.
• Prior experience working on consulting engineering or construction projects in both regional and metropolitan contexts is advantageous.
