The Defence Maintenance team in Townsville requires a Storeperson to support their operations in Mount Louisa, Queensland. This permanent position offers stable employment with a supportive and family-oriented team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and issuing parts and materials needed for maintenance.
• Handling forklift operations including loading and unloading goods.
• Managing returned merchandise efficiently.
• Processing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Performing stocktakes and overseeing stock management activities.
• Keeping storage areas and inventory records well maintained.
• Supporting general warehouse and store functions.
• Ensuring parts are correctly assigned to maintenance work orders.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen due to Defence Security clearance obligations.
• Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory management roles.
• Possessing a current LF (forklift) license is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency is required, with experience in SAP S4 Hana highly advantageous.
• A positive attitude, reliability, initiative, and strong work ethic are essential traits.
