Position Overview
We are recruiting for a Store Operative to join a significant project within our logistics division. This full-time role is based on-site in England, where you will work collaboratively with operational and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) teams to efficiently manage site stores and support occupational health efforts.
Key Duties
- Manage and operate site stores, including maintaining accurate stock control and ensuring IT system records are precise.
- Serve as a crucial liaison between operational units and HSE teams to foster compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Distribute tools, plant, materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), and equipment utilizing AssetTagz software.
- Keep meticulous records of all PPE distributed to personnel.
- Procure stock and sustain relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure correct labeling of equipment with hazard warnings and tool tethers, particularly for working at heights.
- Assist with occupational health initiatives such as dust extraction monitoring, Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) monitoring, and PPE feedback collection.
- Carry out inspections and upkeep of tools, lifting devices, and fall protection apparatus.
- Oversee COSHH compliance and facilitate face-fit testing procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a valid CSCS Card is essential.
- Competency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Capability to identify and challenge unsafe practices, promoting a robust safety culture.
Training Provided
Training opportunities include COSHH, harness inspection, occupational health risk management, and face-fit testing with train-the-trainer options.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from £14.80 to £17.80.
