Role Overview
Cheshire Ireland is hiring for a Staff Nurse / Care Coordinator in Galway on a permanent full-time basis. The role is scheduled for 39 hours per week and is based with Galway Cheshire Services in County Galway.

Main Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will take a leadership role in guiding, mentoring, and supervising frontline care support staff. They will also help ensure that people supported by Cheshire Ireland receive high-quality clinical care and respectful, equal relationships that encourage independence and uphold their rights.
The position must be carried out in line with the organisation’s values, operating standards, and service ethos.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should already be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the country. A nursing qualification is required, and registration in the general division of RNID, RND, or RPN with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland would be a strong advantage.
Applicants should bring supervisory or line management experience gained in disability services or the wider personal social services sector. They should also be comfortable using Microsoft Office, employee management systems, rostering tools, and ideally applicant tracking systems.
Experience delivering training to staff at different levels, strong decision-making ability, a valid driving licence, and a willingness to drive for work are also important. The role suits someone with strong communication skills, good written and spoken English, personal integrity, a positive outlook, and a commitment to learning and ongoing development.
