Job Location and Compensation

This full-time role is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. The compensation range spans $40,000 to $80,000 annually, corresponding to approximately $19.23 to $38.46 hourly, depending on experience.

Position Summary

The Software Engineer will join Melissa's engineering team, contributing to real-world software projects. Based on qualifications, the opportunity can be offered either as a full-time role or as a paid internship.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain various software applications and services.
Build and improve ETL and data processing workflows.
Create and integrate REST APIs and web services.
Handle large datasets to enhance data quality and precision.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing software systems.
Propose ideas to boost scalability, reliability, and performance.

Technologies and Tools

C# programming language.
.NET framework.
Microsoft SQL Server database management.
Apache Kafka event streaming platform.
RESTful APIs.
Operating environments: Linux and Windows.
NoSQL databases including Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and CouchDB.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Software development experience using C#.
Familiarity with AI programming tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
