Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Site Civil Engineer position is based in Dungarvan. The engineer will be responsible for daily supervision of civil engineering tasks on site, including setting out and managing groundwork operations. Key duties involve compliance enforcement with designs, health and safety guidelines, and project timelines. Coordination with site managers, suppliers, and subcontractors will be crucial, as well as overseeing quality control and project progress. The role demands troubleshooting construction-related technical challenges, review of design drawings, site report preparation, and maintenance of precise site documentation. The engineer will aid in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across various project types.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in civil engineering design and practical application of site engineering principles.
• Teamwork skills with a history of collaborating effectively with fellow civil engineers.
• Experience in project planning including scheduling, resource coordination, and tracking progress.
• Familiarity with stormwater management systems and associated drainage and infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Site-based experience in groundworks, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of site health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and operate standard surveying and setting-out equipment.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail while working under pressure.
• Competence with software tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management applications is advantageous.
