About the Role

Join a forward-thinking and expanding civil engineering contractor engaged in delivering key infrastructure projects across Ireland. As a Site Agent, you'll play a pivotal role in successfully managing the delivery of civil engineering and utility projects, ensuring all works are performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and maintain high quality standards. You will collaborate extensively with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams while contributing to major projects like the BusConnects National Transport Programme, a significant national transport infrastructure initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and project resources effectively.
  • Foster strong, lasting relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, implementing any necessary design modifications.
  • Track and assess project progression, schedules, and financial budgets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Supervise traffic management and all on-site safety protocols.
  • Manage material deliveries and overall site logistics efficiently.
  • Conduct quality inspections, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
  • Provide frequent status updates to clients and project managers.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and site personnel.
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout project execution.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering, utilities, or roadworks projects.
  • Solid expertise in managing civil and infrastructure development projects.
  • Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Possesses commercial insight related to project cost management.
  • Well-versed in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
  • Strong leadership ability, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in supervising multiple site teams and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Holds an engineering qualification or equivalent is preferable.
  • Possession of a full clean driving licence.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging between €60,000 and €70,000, depending on experience.
