About the Role
The Shift Manager will be responsible for upholding operational excellence and delivering outstanding guest experiences at Jubilant FoodWorks' foodservice locations. The role involves handling guest concerns promptly and empathetically, managing shift staffing, enforcing safety and cleanliness standards, and fostering a team-oriented environment to meet service speed and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence and optimize guest experience by addressing guest issues with urgency and empathy using the LEADS framework.
- Develop actionable plans based on guest feedback to enhance service quality.
- Ensure staffing during shifts is adequate to fulfill service speed and quality benchmarks.
- Empower team members to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues effectively.
- Implement and monitor safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols both inside and outside the store.
- Communicate guest feedback to the team and engage them in improvement initiatives.
- Address employee concerns swiftly and fairly while promoting a respectful workplace.
- Ensure thorough training for team members prior to deployment.
- Maintain frequent communication regarding performance goals and results with the team.
- Recruit, train, retain, and develop team members to strengthen guest service capabilities.
- Create and execute efficient scheduling, cross-training, and deployment strategies.
- Develop growth plans for high-potential employees.
- Drive sales by owning local store marketing efforts and integrating with the community.
- Monitor and communicate performance results and set clear goals and action plans.
- Maintain high restaurant maintenance and cleanliness standards.
- Guarantee product availability and consistent adherence to quality standards.
- Encourage suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales.
- Collaborate with other managers to resolve operational issues.
- Discuss shift plans and goals with the team regularly.
- Adjust assignments during shifts to meet operational objectives.
- Manage task delegation and execute workflow efficiently during shifts.
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet hospitality and service speed targets.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have educational qualifications in Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), Travel and Tourism Management, Food and Beverage Service, or Hospital Management.
