Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager level Service Engineer specialized in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to join our team. This role involves installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and breakdown service of electric material handling machines, ensuring maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and perform both preventive and breakdown maintenance on electric MHE.
- Diagnose faults across electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
- Conduct root cause analysis for repeated failures and suggest permanent fixes.
- Troubleshoot components such as controllers, AC/DC motors, battery management systems, lithium-ion batteries, chargers, sensors, wiring harnesses, CAN communication, and safety mechanisms.
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
- Document detailed service reports including fault diagnosis, corrective measures, and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with customers to minimize downtime and enhance machine availability.
- Manage critical customer escalations independently by providing technical solutions effectively.
- Promote sales of after-sales spare parts, preventive maintenance contracts (AMC), repair services, and other service solutions.
- Support warranty claims by providing necessary technical documentation, photographs, and root cause analysis.
- Identify correct spare parts efficiently using parts catalogues and EPC software.
- Engage customers with technical and commercial discussions to secure spare parts and service orders.
- Collaborate internally with Sales, Operations, and Spare Parts teams to ensure timely support and service completion.
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance histories, and customer documentation.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company SOPs, and quality standards throughout service activities.
Key Skills and Expertise
- Material Handling Equipment servicing experience.
- Electric forklift troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
- Handling preventive and breakdown maintenance effectively.
- Experience with after-sales service and customer interaction.
- Managing spare parts sales and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
Additional Information
