Senior Web/Content Editor – Power & Renewables Sector

Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and meticulous News Editor to strengthen our Power & Energy research team. The candidate should have a solid background in journalism or mass communication and a keen interest in India's power and energy domain. This position involves dissecting intricate regulatory updates, simplifying technical details into reader-friendly content, and contributing to authoritative industry publications and research.

Main Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor changes in the power and energy industry, such as policy shifts, regulatory amendments, tenders, and market notifications.
• Interpret and analyze regulatory orders, tariff petitions, consultation papers, notifications from central/state regulatory bodies, government institutions, utilities, and related entities.
• Create news reports, analytical briefs, summaries, and feature articles for both internal distribution and external publication.
• Conduct research, write, edit, and proofread material for magazines, newsletters, reports, and special publications related to the industry.
• Collaborate with analysts and experts to verify technical accuracy and uphold editorial quality.
• Produce well-structured, fact-based content designed for industry stakeholders and professionals.
• Maintain high editorial standards, ensure accuracy, and meet deadlines for publication.
• Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of regulatory and sector developments.
• Assist the editorial team in scheduling content calendars, thematic reports, and special editions.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in electricity, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, and energy storage sectors.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• Exceptional written and spoken English skills.
• Strong abilities in research, editing, and analysis.
• Capability to understand and simplify complex technical and regulatory documentation.
