Senior TIBCO Middleware Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior TIBCO Middleware Administrator with expertise in TIBCO BusinessWorks 5x, TIBCO EMS, Rendezvous, and TIBCO Hawk. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing enterprise-scale integration platforms. This role demands strong operational skills for troubleshooting production environments handling critical middleware infrastructure, messaging services, high availability configurations, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support TIBCO BusinessWorks 5x environments including versions 5 to 16.1.
• Handle deployment, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting of BW applications using TIBCO Administrator and AppManage utilities.
• Oversee deployment tasks such as start, stop, upgrade, and fault diagnosis of BW EAR files across different environments.
• Monitor BW engine performance including process instances, thread usage, and overall application health.
• Verify environment setups, deployment accuracy, and provide post-release support.
• Analyze BW logs to determine root causes of application failures.
• Support integration of BusinessWorks with EMS, databases, APIs, and other external applications.
• Administer and maintain approximately 100 BW applications operating in multiple environments.
• Manage TIBCO EMS 10x environments (preferred 10.4) including Fault Tolerant Active-Standby configurations.
• Conduct EMS failover testing, compaction, upgrades, and health monitoring.
• Create and manage EMS resources: queues, topics, bridges, routes, connection factories, users, and groups.
• Manage EMS security using JAAS authentication, LDAP, and Active Directory integrations.
• Configure and fine-tune Tibco EMS server configuration files and monitor datastore health, ledger files, storage use, message flow, and log management.
• Configure and troubleshoot TIBCO Rendezvous daemon services and transport parameters to support communication between EMS, BW, and external apps.
• Maintain TIBCO Hawk Agents and Domains, including microagents and monitoring rulebases.
• Perform system health checks and monitoring for BW engines, EMS servers, system resources, and application processes.
• Use GEMS or similar monitoring systems to track queue depths, topic subscribers, bridges, routes, and fault tolerance status.
• Lead incident management, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate problem management processes with SLA adherence.
• Participate in on-call rotation and implement critical production changes.
• Create automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, housekeeping, and operational tasks.
• Leverage AppManage CLI for automated deployments and service handling.
• Maintain runbooks and SOPs to document operational procedures.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and infrastructure automation initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

• In-depth knowledge of TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) 5x and 5.16.1.
• Experience with TIBCO EMS 10.x administration and configurations.
• Expertise in TIBCO Rendezvous (RVD) and TIBCO Hawk management.
• Proficiency in JBoss and Kafka.

The role requires immediate joining or a maximum notice period of 15 days. This position is based in Chennai, India.
