About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a prominent FPSO project team based in Bangalore. This role involves overseeing package engineering for rotating equipment throughout all phases of the project, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, project objectives, and international engineering standards.

Key Duties

  • Conduct package engineering tasks related to rotating equipment and process packages.
  • Develop and issue technical specifications, create equipment lists, and prepare engineering deliverables.
  • Handle vendor selection processes including technical bid evaluations, reviewing technical offers, and participating in bid clarification discussions.
  • Serve as the primary package engineer during procurement and purchase order (PO) execution, ensuring all standards and requirements are met.
  • Provide support for package engineering activities during all project stages such as Pre-PO, Post-PO, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), safety studies, commissioning, and execution phases.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, supply chain management, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review vendor submissions including documents, technical drawings, and engineering calculations.
  • Offer technical aid during FAT, commissioning, and fabrication yard engineering tasks.
  • Work with a variety of rotating equipment like process and centrifugal pumps, process compressors, positive displacement pumps and compressors, utility pumps, power generation packages, chemical injection systems, dehydration units, dryer packages, inert gas generators (IGG), hydraulic power units (HPU), and other offshore process packages.
  • Guarantee that all engineering operations align with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable international standards.
  • Support project execution by resolving technical challenges and coordinating efforts among internal and external parties.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 12 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering within the oil and gas sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years' offshore oil and gas project experience is required.
  • Experience with FPSO projects is strongly desirable.
  • Robust expertise in package engineering, FEED, detailed engineering, creating technical specifications, vendor management, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and commissioning support.
  • Practical knowledge with process pumps, compressors, chemical injection packages, dehydration packages, IGGs, HPUs, and related rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as PV Elite, Compress, AutoCAD, and Navisworks 3D will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities, with a proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
