Senior QA Automation Engineer - API & Front-End Testing

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in API and front-end testing based in Toronto, ON, offering a hybrid work model of 3 days office attendance per week. This role spans 6 to 12 months and demands significant experience in Quality Engineering.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum 8 years of broad experience in Quality Engineering and testing.
• At least 3 years of specializing in API testing leveraging ReadyAPI.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining automated test scripts as part of Continuous Integration processes.
• Familiarity integrating automated tests with diversified tools and ecosystems.
• Solid hands-on experience with tools and languages including ReadyAPI (SoapUI Pro), Git, Java, Groovy scripting, Selenium, Jenkins, SQL Developer, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Capable of thoroughly testing RESTful APIs with JSON formatting.
• Strong front-end testing skills using Katalon.
• Deep understanding of application specifications, test plan formulation, and test case execution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively in Agile environments.
• Valuable domain experience within Banking and Payments sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out API testing through ReadyAPI tools.
• Perform front-end functional testing using Katalon tools.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts integrated into Continuous Integration pipelines.
• Ensure seamless integration of automated testing with various supporting software tools.
• Validate and verify RESTful API functionalities and ensure overall application quality standards.
