Role Overview

The Senior Analyst for Regional Outbound Logistics at Chipotle plays a vital role in managing distribution and logistics to support restaurant service levels. This position focuses on enhancing outbound logistics processes, ensuring compliance with inventory standards at distribution centers (DCs), and optimizing delivery metrics such as size and frequency. Working closely with the Outbound Logistics Manager and distribution teams, the analyst handles inventory monitoring, stock issue resolution, and fosters strong interdepartmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the low-stock and out-of-stock process across assigned distribution centers, acting as a primary liaison among DC teams, procurement, and inbound logistics to expedite or delay supplier purchase orders as necessary.
• Coordinate between Planning and DC teams to uphold Days of Supply targets and provide input on demand forecasts to ensure DCs comply with approved inventory levels.
• Conduct ongoing inventory monitoring to detect and proactively remedy supply shortages, while reducing discrepancies in DOS calculations.
• Develop, maintain, and report on performance metrics for assigned DCs to support operational excellence.
• Assist in preparing materials for weekly Supply Chain service meetings and quarterly business reviews with DCs.
• Partner with the Regional Logistics Leader to analyze and recommend optimized routing strategies, delivery frequencies, and drop sizes.
• Lead emergency store resupply operations during crisis events such as severe weather or supply chain disruptions.
• Address store delivery issues including missing or damaged items, late deliveries, or rejected orders and coordinate corrective actions with distribution centers and logistics teams.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Finance, and DC teams to ensure seamless introduction and transitions of new items, promotions, and test products.
• Perform detailed analyses and cost-benefit evaluations on routing and delivery scenarios, presenting findings and recommendations to logistics leadership for alignment.
• Serve as the key contact for coordinating new technology implementations between distribution centers and the supply chain technology team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is mandatory.
• Between 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or working with complex data sets.
• Familiarity with methodologies such as APICS, CBAP, or Six Sigma is advantageous.
• Proven capability in producing, interpreting, and communicating forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Experience with Sales & Operations Planning and Integrated Business Planning processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical aptitude with an understanding of how data and statistics can inform business decisions is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $122,500 annually, with eligibility for performance-based cash bonuses and equity awards. Work Location and Schedule

This position is located in Newport Beach, CA, requiring attendance in the office four days a week with one remote workday on Fridays. Remote work is otherwise not available for this role.
