Overview
Our client, a renowned global fashion brand, is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to lead significant creative projects. This role demands ownership of major campaigns, guiding their creative direction while elevating the overall quality of work across the design team. The candidate will work hands-on, delivering impactful visuals and mentoring junior designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex creative briefs from concept through to final output.
- Create compelling designs spanning Ecommerce, website content, email marketing, social media (paid and organic), digital advertising, product launches, retail environments, events, and brand activations.
- Proactively contribute well-defined ideas during campaign planning stages rather than waiting for direction.
- Collaborate with the broader creative team to develop seasonal campaign concepts, visual identities, and design systems for consistent customer engagement.
- Blend creative innovation with commercial objectives such as increasing engagement, supporting product launches, or enhancing campaign performance.
- Work closely with teams including Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, Content, and Retail to translate their priorities into effective creative outputs.
- Lead the design aspect of multi-channel campaigns, managing multiple formats, stakeholders, and deadlines efficiently without bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on work from junior and mid-level designers, fostering overall team growth.
- Safeguard brand consistency by identifying and correcting inconsistencies across different channels and departments.
- Create and upkeep templates, asset libraries, brand guidelines, and internal creative tools that streamline workflow while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay informed on trends in fashion, digital design, sports, music, and broader culture to inspire innovative work beyond mere references.
- Explore and introduce new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance creative output and facilitate effective remote teamwork.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will currently be employed or recently employed in a similar in-house role within a fashion brand. They should have a comprehensive understanding of:
- The rapid pace and scale of creative output required in the fashion industry.
- How campaign schedules, product launches, and business priorities influence project workflows.
- The distinction between visually appealing assets and creative work that delivers measurable performance.
- Consistently applying one campaign idea cohesively across various channels like Ecommerce, email, social media, and retail.
- Collaborating effectively with commercial teams to maintain creative integrity.
- Providing constructive feedback to enhance other designers’ work.
Applicants are expected to be senior-level graphic or digital designers or experienced mid-level designers functioning at this high level. Portfolios must showcase end-to-end campaigns and substantial digital work produced specifically for fashion brands, illustrating thought processes, idea development, and multi-channel execution rather than isolated pieces.
While agency backgrounds are acceptable, candidates must have held significant creative ownership for established fashion clients—this role is not suited for those new to the fashion sector.
